Questions worth answering before you buy

How does billing work?

Signal is monthly, self-serve onboarding with an invoice. Intelligence and Exclusive are annual, invoiced, with a short onboarding call. No card-on-file auto-upgrades.

What counts as a Signal?

One saved query over the Census — a Movement type, optionally scoped to a category, geography or a list of domains you upload. You can change what a Signal watches; you pay for how many run.

Where does the data come from?

gTLD zone files, Certificate Transparency logs and DNS records — read nightly. See /methodology for sources, cadence, confidence levels and known gaps, stated plainly.

Do you sell contact data or PII?

No, permanently. Role accounts at most, and only where we ship that. This is a feature for regulated buyers, not a limitation — see /data.

Is there a free tier?

No free product tier. We publish free tools — Trace and Posture — and ungated research instead. The distinction is deliberate.

How do I cancel?

Monthly plans cancel at the period end from your account. Annual plans do not auto-renew without a renewal conversation.
